You can remember these tricks and then perform well in ISSB test. So read these tips carefully nd try to solve by yourself.

Percentage Questions and DISCOUNT % questions

CASE 1. When % and value are in digits(1 to 9)

You have to count total n.o involve so it helps in placing decimals and then multiply it.

like 1% of 1 = 0.01

2% 0f 2 =0.04

.

.

.

9% of 9 =0.81

CASE 2 ..When % and value both are in double-digit without any zero

like…11% of 11= 1.21

12% of 12=1.44

.

.

19 % of 15 =2.85

CASE 3 …When value and % both are in double-digit having 1 zero than you cancel the zeros

like …20 % of 20=4

40 % of 30 =12

CASE 4… when % and value both are in double and triple digit and having 1 zero soo again cancel out the zeros

like ..20 % of 170=34

40% 0f 110=44

CASE 5 .when % are in digit and value are in double-digit having 1 zero soo so cancel out the zero

2% of 70=1.4

3% of 90=2.7

DISCOUNT % QUESTIONS

discount % = real price – discount price

E.g ……..You have bought shirt for 450 rupees and 20% is discount soo find real cost

so 20 % of 450= 90

formula real price – discount price =450 -90 =360 is your answer.

**Here are some more tricks to solve quick maths questions in ISSB.**

- What is the 30% of 30?

Solution:

Firstly you have to cancel “0” from both sides, and then multiply both sides with each other and you’ll get the answer

3 x 3 = 9

So, 9 is the answer

- What is 45% of 50?

Solution?

Now this one is a bit more complex than the previous one, but it’s easy

divide both sides by 10 and multiply them with each other, OR divide one side by 100 and multiply both sides with each other and you’ll get the answer

By first method,

4.5 x 5 = 22.5

By second method,

45 x 0.5 = 22.5

So, 22.5 is the answer

- Add ¾ and 5/4

Solution:

Since the denominators of both values are same, i.e. 4 so we’ll simply add the numerators, simplify it if possible and we’ll get the answer

3 + 5 = 8 = 1 Answer

4 4 2

- Add 4/5 and 11/3

Solution:

Now the denominators are different so we’ll take LCM, the LCM of 5 and 3 is 15

Since, 5 x 3 = 15 so we’ll multiply 4 by 3 and since, 3 x 5 = 15 so we’ll multiply 11 by 5

12 + 55 = 67 Answer

15 15

1 km = 0.62 mile

1 mile= 1.609 km

1 cm = 0.01 m

1 m = 100 cm

1 km = 1000 m

1 kg = 2.204 pounds

1 pound = 0.45 kg

1 foot = 12 inch

1 inch = 2.54 cm

1 cm = 0.39 inch

1 USD = 101.94 PKR

1 foot = 30.48 cm

1 yard = 94.44 cm

1 yard = 3 feet

1 m = 3.28 feet

1 m = 1.09 yard

1 yard = 0.91 m

1 mile = 5280 feet

3 miles = 1 league

1 kg = 1.094 seer

1 seer = 0.931 kg

1 million = 10 lac

- Calculate the Zakat in 2000rs

Solution:

To calculate Zakat of any value you have to find 2.5% of the given value

We’ll do it with the method that we’ve learned above

we’ll divide 2000 by 100 and then we’ll multiply it with 2.5

2000 = 20 x 2.5 = 50

100

So, the answer is 50

- How many millions are there in 3 lacs?

Solution:

As we know that, 1million = 10 lacs

So 3 lacs = 0.3 million

- How many km are there in 4000 m?

Solution:

As we know that, 1000m = 1km

so there are 4km in 4000m
